Phase 1 - Measurement
Phase One is measuring the bike. This identifies handling problems resulting from production misalignments, offsets and twists as well as problems from crash damage. Measurements are performed with an optical 3-D coordinate measuring device and a computerized system programmed specifically for motorcycles. (You might be surprised at how much standard production tolerances can affect your handling.)

- Measure: $200.00 (bike prepared - bodywork removed)

Phase 2 - Alignment/Correction
By the time we are done with the measurement process we know a lot about your motorcycle. We have analyzed the alignment, the condition of the steering head bearings, if the wheels and rotors are true, sub-frame, shock and linkage, forks and triple clamps, steering stops, and general chassis inspection.

This analysis reveals the level of need for alignment/correction. The areas of most concern are the triple clamps, steering head, the frame and the swingarm. These show up as twists and lateral misalignments. We then look at the geometry to determine other alignment problems (i.e.. short or long). In most cases we can repair all your chassis problems for much less than the cost of replacement parts.

- Frame Straightening
Repair of crash damage or production errors are on a per application basis. The standard price for straightening a bent frame, swingarm, forks and triple clamps is $550. This assumes a bare rolling chassis with the motor in it (no bodywork, intake system, exhaust system, battery, etc.).

Phase 3 - "Sweet Numbers" Optimization
In this phase we look at your geometry numbers. From there we go to the "Whatif" portion of our computer program and manipulate front and rear ride heights, swingarm angle and length to achieve the proper rake, trail and swingarm slope. Note: this is highly dependent on tire brands and sizes. Once we have determined where to set the geometry we then apply them to your bike and measure the bike again to make sure we got what we're looking for.

"Sweet Numbers" Chassis Geometry is a philosophy not a set of particular numbers. Every rider has a different style and likes a different feel. Through feedback from the rider we can then adjust the geometry, the suspension or both to fine tune it for you.

Geometry is critical to motorcycle stability, steering and handling. Measurements can be made before and after geometry adjustments, making G.M.D.Computrack an indispensable tool in finding the optimum setup.
